Special envoy of UK’s Prime minister in Iraq’s Human Rights affairs said she is not aware of the reasons why MKO is held and protected by the US in Iraq.
Ms. Anne Clwyd said in a news conference in London that “We don’t know why the US keeps and protects MKO members in Iraq.”
IRNA’s correspondent asked her to explain why MKO’s case is not resolved. She answered: “we don’t have information on this either.”
Immediately after the fall of Saddam Hussein, Clwyd was appointed by Tony Blair as the special envoy in Iraq’s Human rights affairs.
She promised to follow MKO’s case personally. She also said that she is determined to investigate MKO’s role in cooperation with Saddam regime in massacring innocent Iraqi people.
