While Mojahedin try to introduce their group as an effective one and get the support of the US, Islamic Republic shows less attention towards them and the comments of Iranian authorities indicate that they consider no importance for them.
Regarding reports on MKO’s exhibition being visited by some French authorities, Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi said in a press conference that “state officials of France didn’t visit the exhibition and this puny vanquished group has also been announced as terrorist by France. These people have held and exhibition using unreal names and French officials should be noted about this issue.”
Fars News agency has said that MKO’s activities are restricted to the Web: “MKO has recently ordered its sympathizers around the world, and its few terrorists in Iran, to be in touch with the group only by email and internet.”
