“At the time being, some issues show that the US likes to establish contact with Iran. One of these issues is the way Americans treat Mojahedin-e khalq,” Ghazi Al-Arizi says
Emirate-based “Al-Ettehad” has published an article- “On Iran-US relations”- by Ghazi Al-Arizi in part of which we read: “at the time being, some issues show that the US likes to establish contact with Iran. One of these issues is the way Americans treat Mojahedin-e khalq. In spite of being on terror list in the US, Mojahedin enjoys American support in Iraq. After conquering Iraq, the US wanted to use MKO against Iran, but occupied its military bases and disarmed them. The US didn’t suffice to labeling it as a terrorist group, and paved the way for returning of some of MKO members to Iran and it seems that some other members of this group will be transferred to a third country. In fact, the US is moving toward dismantling this group and has accepted Iran’s requests in this regard. Is this a beginning for relations? Is it a sign of satisfaction from Iranian side? Will it continue? This will depend on the process of situation. Some analysts believe that Iran will probably deliver some Al-Qaeda members to the US.
