Self-immolations of 2 MKO members in Rome had negative responds from Italian media and people.
Italian media broadcast the news of French raid on MKO headquarters in Paris, but they took negative stand against the self-immolation of 2 members of this organization.
Il Folid Newspaper described self-immolations as brutal. This newspaper wrote in an article: "Mojahedin for the first time attacked Ayatollah Madani in Friday Prayers and cast the seeds of violation and terror in their policies."
This paper said that self-immolations by Mojahedin is another way of campaigning by them.
Republica newspaper, under the title "the anger of Iranians, MKOs are Mad", wrote: "if someone speaks to the resident Iranians here, after the self-immolations of 2 people in front of French embassy in Rome, he will find the hatred and indifference among people.
Even other opponents of Islamic Republic call them as mad, extremists, and traitors…. They fought for Saddam Hussein, against Iran and the US…

Self-immolations of these guys shows a group which has lost its everything. They are upset, because they have not been able to topple the regime nor do they trust to returning to Iran…
