NBC TV: Iran-US secret talks are ongoing in order to hand over Al-Qaeda members… Most of the US officials agree that Iran is ready to exchange Qaeda members with MKO forces… Mojahedin have attacked Iran from inside Iraq… they are completely under the control of American forces. Flynt Lauret, former member of US national Security Council, says: "the US government doesn't want to talk directly with Iran but this exchange can benefit the US." This TV network adds that some US officials say that this group is in the terrorist list of US department of State and that MKO forces should be extradited to Iran. New York Times (2nd of August): Seyf Al-Adl, the third man of Al-Qaeda, is detained by Iran. NY Times quotes US officials saying that Iran has the 3rd man of Al-Qaeda and it has not given him to the US yet. Experts believe that these Qaeda members could be exchanged with the members of terrorist MKO. A US official says that the plan was presented to Iran by Swiss embassy in Tehran but Iran has refused it. USA Today (5th of August): Iran may exchange terrorist in the case of US help. Iran may want to hand over Al-Qaeda members to the US, in the case the US restricts the MKO terrorist who are based in Iraq. A Senior Iranian official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, stressed that Iran has a number of top Qaeda members… he added that Iran may extradite these members to their own countries such as Egypt so that the US can get them there… but Iran is not willing to do it now since it believes that the US has not done its best in confronting MKO…
