Hegemonic powers aim to influence the region with terrorist actions, visiting Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Friday evening.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Armenian Iranians in Yerevan.

President Ahmadinejad noted that hegemonic powers aim to give power to their pawns in the region and make puppet regimes.

Iran's president stressed that the greedy arrogant powers have victimized millions of people by provoking wars directly or indirectly but they are at the end of their way.

"West is jealous of Iran's progress in various fields including science, construction and economy; hegemonic powers know well that a powerful Iran can change international equations; the West has always tried to pressure Tehran by sanctions but it could not impede Tehran's progress," he added.

Iranian president underlined that using terror has no place in Iranian culture and policy; it is interesting that biggest international Gun Dealers who provoke unrest to export weapons accuse Tehran of export of terrorism when Iran has always exported logic and culture to the world.

"Iranians around the world are advocates of justice and peace," he added.
