Reviewing Washington's Iran policy, the website of US News in an article suggests the West and the United States in particular, to focus on Iranian opposition groups. The proposed choice of this American website is terrorist group MeK.

Responding this article, a reader has left a comment:

It is interesting to see the choice of word by some commenters "unleash MEK" as if to unleash a vicious dog. MEK has no popular support in Iran, I all for releasing them from the tragic condition that they are being held and find home for them in democratic countries because they are bound to become the sacrificial lamb by somebody soon.

But to empower them would be exactly what we did with Afghan fighters in the eighties. US, Pakistan, with money and ideological backing from UAE and Saudis created Taliban and we all know the rest of the story.

MEK is a ruthless organization and even more ruthless leaders with egos as big as Stalin and Hitler. Don't make the same mistakes over and over. [...] Those outside of Iran claiming to be opposition leader are at best like Ahmad Chalabi, opportunists megalomaniacs.
