Bahman-e Bastani (Radio Farda): National council of Resistance, political wing of Mojahedin-e Khalq organization, in a press
Bahman-e Bastani (Radio Farda): National council of Resistance, political wing of Mojahedin-e Khalq organization, in a press conference yesterday in Washington, brought the names of some institutions and certain people in Iran and claimed that Islamic Republic or Iran is producing chemical and biological weapons and that Iran is working on Nuclear studies in order to use it for military purposes. Masoud Tayebi, a former member of the MKO who separated from this group last year following some divisions with the group, talked about group’s claims in an interview with Radio Farda: Masoud Tayebi (former member of MKO): I don’t have exact information but from my point of view, whenever the organization is entangled in hard situation it tries to escape by pushing Iran. this was clearly set forth in internal meetings of the organization that we should put Iran under pressure through other countries’ representatives in order to decline the pressure on ourselves. As a strategy, the organization has tried, during many years, to deepen the divisions between parliamentarians or officials of a country. For instance, there is now a division between US department of State and US department of Defense. The organization wants to use this division and it even theorizes this for itself and says that: it is group’s right to do so since the group is now under such a situation, because we are now known as a terrorist group, and because we don’t have any place. We should try our best not to lose our political relations. So, I think that these can’t be true as they insist. Amir-e Mosaddeq Katuzian (Radio Farda): but when they came and talked about Natanz facilities, Iran government responded and said that “yes, Iran has such facilities, nuclear facilities and its using it legally.” Masoud Tayebi: yes, this was only one case during 20 years of organization’s propagandas. That was the only case which came to be real. But in other cases I have the original plan. Let’s consider those who want to separate from this group. There are many who want to leave this group. They were either put into jail or they found a chance to escape. As they come to European country, the group accuses them of different charges and calls them with ugliest words. Group accuses them of having relations with Iran’s intelligent agency and regime, but they have never come to prove these accusations in a legal court. The case you mentioned is the only one that came to be true. Amir-e Mosaddeq Katuzian (Radio Farda): what are your claims about Mojahedin? Masoud Tayebi: our first demand is that a group of Amnesty International be settled there in Iraq and that all members have the right to decide about their future and they can go to 3rd country with referring to this Institution. Our second demand is that we could be able to go to Iraq, with security, to show solidarity cells, trials, the place of trials and prisons to international communities. We can give such information to the entire world.
