In the following days, Bulgarian forces now based in Diwaniah will take the control of Camp Ashraf detainees and Americans practically leave the case. Inclusion in the fourth Geneva Convention also, on some parts of which the MKO is crazily insisting (hiding other items), will not help them. Geneva Convention is applicable only for one year and after that local authorities will decided on the related issues.
As expected, anarchical efforts of notorious terrorist group of the MKO during past year failed and threw them to a new phase. This new phase can be compared to a minefield that’s impossible to pass, with all sides of it full of dangerous mines of MKO’s treacherous policies. The fear is that the minefield may explode in any moment. During the year that passed, MKO tried to instigate the US to attack Iran by creating controversy over Iran’s nuclear programs as well as its role in Iraq. During recent weeks and despite the change in the Iranian government (that Rajavi’s remnants believed would help their tactics), IAEA issued a mild resolution on Iran and asked the US and European countries to resume talks with Iran. On the other hand, Iraqi people took part massively in the elections and proved that what MKO-Baathists wanted to introduce as “Iran’s interferences” were in fact the will of all Iraqis. This is the problem of all remnants of Saddam (including the MKO), who consider the Iraqis’ desire against their existence. The messages of these events become more serious when accompanied by US insistence on the fact that MKO is terrorist organization. In the international scene, US and Europe rejected MKO’s repeated calls for supporting it by not paying attention to its disinformation activities on the Iranian nuclear programs; this could be considered as a coup de grace to MKO’s dream of being an alternative. Now, global political experts reject MKO’s role in Iran affairs and adopt a realistic approach. Therefore, the MKO desperately changed its focus from “referring Iran’s nuclear case to the UN Security Council” to the slogan of “referring Iran’s Human Rights case to Security Council”. This means that the way for Mojahedin to become even a political party is also closed and that they only want to remain as a pressure group. On the other hand, the message of MKO’s staying on US terror list is that the US government would do nothing special to save the entity of this group in Iraq. Other indications suggest that the US has decided to transfer responsibility for the MKO to the Iraqi government. More importantly, recent reports indicate that Iraqi government and interior ministry have announced that the MKO will have to leave Iraq before the October 2006. * So the year 2006, starting a few days from now, for the MKO mean being thrown to a new phase of events that will certainly change the arrangement of the MKO and like the treacherous group of “Tudeh Party” there will remain nothing of them except a name.
