I escaped two or three times. The third time I succeeded and I ran toward Americans. When they arrested me they beat me very severely. One of them told me that he would have killed me if he had a gun in his hand
I am Hamid Kazempour, and my nickname was Iraj in the organization. I had gone to Turkey to find a job when I was deceived by members of the organization (MKO). They told me that there’s wife, kids, life and if I don’t want it I can leave the organization and go to any country I wanted. I accepted and went to the organization. Once there, everything changed. They said that I have to wait for 2 years. There was no wife, no kids. Then I went to their meetings and I found their words strange and bizarre. From the beginning, I asked them to leave the organization. They refused and our quarrels began. We even hit ourselves in order not to obey them. They had weekly meetings called “weekly purification” in which we refused to participate. Sometimes human beings do something and then they come and confess. For example, one robs something and then he admits. But in such meetings they asked the members to tell all the things which happened in their minds! I escaped two or three times. The third time I succeeded and I ran toward Americans. When they arrested me they beat me very severely. One of them told me that he would have killed me if he had a gun in his hand. Out of a year and a half in the organization, I was in hospital for six months. They kept me by force and didn’t let me move. Then we came to the American camp and it was not to our benefit. After that Americans told us that no one would harm us in Iran. So we decided to come to Iran. In order to watch the film of the interview, please click <1>here<1>.
