what does the freedom of Iraqis have to do with Mojahedin? The US is in Iraq and does what it wants. Second, stressing the political refugee right of Mojahedin means that the election of Mr. Jalal Talabani as the president of Iraq has put an end to MKO’s chances in Iraq, because Iraqi Kurds and especially Mr. Talabani will never forget MKO’s role in suppressing Kurds.
A while ago, The Council of Iraqi Tribesmen presented its emblem to Maryam Rajavi. It’s good to know who this Council is representing. This council is representing the people mostly farmers of Iraqi villages and townships. As far as I can remember, MKO often distributed food in the villages around to keep the villagers for rainy days; with this justification that not to be used by regime’s forces for launching attack against MKO. At the current situation in Iraq, this move of Mojahedin and collecting signatures of villagers show that Mojahedin have no base among educated Iraqis who have seen the relations of Mojahedin with Saddam Hussein for years. For example, the people of Baghdad will never do this since after the fall of Saddam they have got better insight on MKO. MKO invites Sheikh Sa’dun Al-Ghasemi and Mrs. Al-Azavi and Jassem Mohammed Al-Ghasemi and some others to Camp Ashraf to receive the emblem from Mr. Sa’dun Al-Ghasemi in front the members. There were two reasons behind holding such invitation, managed by Roghaye Abbasi, on which a lot of money was spent. First, these sheikhs can’t invite Mojahedin to their places since they have nothing to do with Iraqi government and thus their statement has no political credit. Second, MKO needs such shows to maneuver for its own members and say that the organization is supported by Iraqi people; and to stop the process of defection. MKO adds in its statement that “the emblem was presented due to the Maryam Rajavi’s efforts to establish democracy in Iran and ensuring freedom in Iraq” and continues that “this statement stresses the political refugee right of Mojahedin in Iraq”. First of all, what does the freedom of Iraqis have to do with Mojahedin? The US is in Iraq and does what it wants. Second, stressing the political refugee right of Mojahedin means that the election of Mr. Jalal Talabani as the president of Iraq has put an end to MKO’s chances in Iraq, because Iraqi Kurds and especially Mr. Talabani will never forget MKO’s role in suppressing Kurds. After suppressing and massacring Iraqi Kurds, Massoud Rajavi said in a meeting that shedding the blood of Mr. Talabani is legitimate for all NLA militants. Getting the support of 2 million and eight hundred thousand tribesmen of Iraqi villages by distributing food and meat will not solve the problems of MKO, which has now messy situation. According to MKO itself, they enjoyed European support for 25 years, but they were recognized as terrorist by this support and by Europeans. Mojahedin should know that these ridiculous shows will have no outcomes except becoming more mocked by the public. MKO’s building has no pillars.
