Danielle Pletka has been chosen for the key post of assistant secretary for Near East affairs.
Although Condoleezza Rice has not officially started to work as Secretary of State, she has started to change the State Department.
In the first step, she selected Danielle Pletka- one of the founders of Enterprise Institute and a key supporter of Iranian monarchy- for near east affairs.
Pletka is known to have close ties with Israel.
Extremist party which is coming to power in Bush's cabinet in second term is pessimistic toward Mojahedin-e khalq, and instead, has good relations with Monarchists. Generally, they may accept MKO's presence in Iraq as the presence of "mercenaries", but they will never accept to have political interaction with them or to take them off the terror list.
During recent months, Mojahedin have tried to make contacts with Enterprise institute, but even the most extremist elements of this institute didn't supported MKO. They support other Iranian opposition groups.
