The terrorist group of Mojahedin-e Khalq, as a mercenary for Saddam Hussein, tried during past months to manipulate the case of Saddam's crimes in Kurdish regions, especially his crimes in Halabja; that's because the former soldiers of Saddam Hussein knew well that investigation on Saddam's crimes in Kurdistan will inevitably lead to opening the case of Kurds' massacre by MKO.
According to news agencies: "In Iraq, the court which pursues the crimes of Saddam Hussein and 7 of his partners has announced that the trial of deposed Iraqi leader will continue with new charges against him. The new genocide charges against Saddam Hussein include the killing of thousands of civilians in Anfal and chemical attack to the Kurdish village of Halabja. Humanitarian groups say that 180000 were killed in Anfal operation." The court was expected to get to such point sooner or later. Now the court will examine more important parts of Saddam's crimes, particularly those committed against the people of Kurdistan. With such an investigation, it will be proved again that protecting the private army of Saddam in Iraq is meaningless and in contradiction with the international laws. It is also against the interest of Iraqis and particularly the Kurds of Iraq.
