According to the latest news, Massoud Rajavi and 28 other key members of Mojahedin-e khalq are being held as POWs by the U.S. forces with high level of security. However, holding these people together with remnants of the group in Camp Ashraf, Americans block Iraqi governemtn's and army's access to these terrorists.
According to Iraqi newspaper al-Bayyinah al-Jadidah, Interpol has issued arrest warrant for Massoud and Maryam Rajavi, who are going to experience the fate of their master, Saddam Hussein. According to Baztab, Jafar al-Mousawi, brave prosecutor of Iraqi High Court, said last week that the terrorists of Mojahedin-e khalq have been indicted because of involvement in killing thousands of innocent Shiites during the uprising of Sha'banieh in 1991. At that time, mercenaries of Saddam Hussein, assisted by the terrorists of Mojahedin-e khalq, attacked civilians and killed nearly one million Iraqis. Members of this terrorist group published false reports from unreal Iraqi groups, scolding Jafar al-Mousawi. However, the reports on arrest warrant for Massoud and Maryam Rajavi showed that solid evidences of Iraqi prosecutor have convinced the Interpol to arrest the gang leaders. According to the latest news, Massoud Rajavi and 28 other key members of Mojahedin-e khalq are being held as POWs by the U.S. forces with high level of security. However, holding these people together with remnants of the group in Camp Ashraf, Americans block Iraqi government's and army's access to these terrorists. Earlier, shortly after the fall of Saddam, some reports were published indicating that Massoud Rajavi was being interrogated in the U.S. On the other hand, it is easier now for the Interpol to reach Maryam Rajavi, who was arrested and interrogated on June 27, 2003, by French counterterrorism agency. It should be noted that after the EU underlined MKO's terrorism, Maryam Rajavi attacked and scorned the EU and former French president Jacques Chirac. Meanwhile, there were reports on cooperation between MKO terrorists and Baathists and Salafis in Iraq with the purpose of harming the Iraqi government. The newspaper report adds: "Maryam and Massoud Rajavi, whose hands are stained with the bloods of nearly 50000 innocent Iranians and iraqis, are comparable to criminals like Osama Bin Laden and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in terms of the number of people they've murdered. So, if the Interpol wants to fulfill its duty, it should act according to established international laws and UN counterterrorism regulations. These two terrorist, along with their partners, should be arrested and taken to the court of justice in iraq.
